Day 1: Hanoi – Dien Bien Phu
Our driver pick up & transfer to airport for flight to Dien Bien Phu. Upon arrival pick up and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon you will visit Dien Bien cemetery and the museum, explore the local market. Overnight in Dien Bien.

Day 2: Dien Bien Phu ( Meals: B / L )
Enjoy a full day in Dien Bien Phu as you visit the famous battlefields. The battlefield in Dien Bien Phu was the place where the French intended to bait the Viet Minh into entering the valley. The French used 16,000 troops to lure the Vietnamese forces. The Viet Minh had a trump card, General Vo Nguyen Giap. General Giap was able to flank the valley with artillery to counter the French. The artillery assault lasted from March to May 1954 leading to the capitulation of the French after losing 3,000 men.
On the other hand, the Viet Minh lost more than twice the number of the losses that the French incurred. Later in the tour, you will get to visit the headquarters of General Giap during the Dien Bien Phu conflict. The tour is not only about the war, you will also experience different kinds of culture among the ethnic minorities such as the H’mong and Thai villages. We will stay overnight in Dien Bien Phu so that you can savor the sights, sounds, and culture. -
Day 3: Dien Bien Phu – Hanoi ( Meals: B)
Today is free at your leisure for then transfer to the airport to catch your flight back Hanoi.

The Experience
Those searching for a comprehensive journey in Bhutan should find that this program exceeds their expectations, as it allows ample time to explore not only the well-known highlights but many of the lesser-known attractions, as well. After arriving in Paro, transfer overland to Thimpu for two nights and thorough touring of Bhutan’s capital city. From Thimpu, drive over the Dochula Pass to Tongsa, a trip that affords numerous opportunities to tour central Bhutan and its stunning Himalayan valleys. After one night in Tongsa, continue to Jakar, where a full day excursion from a Swiss guesthouse will take you to Kunzandra and Pesiling Monasteries, the Ura Valley, and a number of smaller temples. Next, head to Gangtay, where the rare black-necked crane makes its home; two nights here offers plenty of time to walk around this charming village where the largest Nyingmapa monastery is located. Finally, head to Paro for a final two-night stay; in Paro, spend a full day with a private guide visiting the most important dzongs, including Taktsang, Sangdo Phelri, Drukgyal, Ta Dzong, and Rimpung.
