Nam Cat Tien National Park
Situated 93 miles (150 km) from Ho Chi Minh City and 186 miles (300 km) from Buon Ma Thuot, holds a compelling history. During the Vietnam War, it endured extensive defoliant spraying, yet the resilient older trees endured, small plants rebounded, and the park’s wildlife made a remarkable recovery.
This park is a prime destination for birdwatchers, offering a spectacular array of bird species, with 348 different kinds. Additionally, there are 439 butterfly species and over 100 mammals, including wild cats, deer, elephants, monkeys, and the elusive Javan rhinoceros.
