Kanha National Park

Kanha National Park: A Sanctuary for Tigers and Wildlife Enthusiasts

Spanning over 900 square kilometers, Kanha National Park is one of India’s premier wildlife destinations. The park offers two main entry points: Kisli and the more remote Mukki Gate, each with various accommodation options to suit visitors.

Wildlife at Kanha National Park
Home to over 200 bird species and 22 mammal species, Kanha National Park is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. You may spot sambar deer, tigers, leopards, Indian wild dogs, and the elusive swamp deer during your morning game drive, often grazing in the meadows at dawn. While tigers and sloth bears are abundant in the park, the latter is mostly active at dusk or dawn, making sightings more challenging.

Visiting Kanha
You can easily reach Kanha National Park via Raipur and Nagpur airports or Jabalpur train station. Combining a visit to Bandhavgarh or Pench National Park can reduce travel time and provide an opportunity to explore the distinct landscapes and wildlife each park offers.
